NEXT architects | China

In 2004 NEXT architects opened an annex in Beijing, China. In the mean time several projects are completed and many others under construction.

The Beijing based studio is led by John van de Water; the website gives an overview of the China orientated activities.

HUAN YANG CENTURY

As from October 1st 2004, NEXT architects has started an alliance with the Chinese architecture firm Huan Yang. As a result a branch-office is set up in Beijing, where one of NEXT architects partners - John van de Water - will be present on a full time basis.

Droog Design

Droog is a curatorial collection of exclusive products, a congenial pool of designers, a distributed statement about design as cultural commentary, a medium, working with cutting edge designers and enlightened clients. Since 2001 NEXT contributed several times with unique ideas to the collection of Droog Design. In the meantime several products are for sale.

CLAUDIA LINDERS

Architect, artist and designer Claudia Linders is director of Labeled, a studio for Interdisciplinary Research & Design. She initiates and advises in vision-, project- and conceptual developments such as Stedelijk Museum Ypenburg and Dare to Unlabel

NEXT architects collaborated with Claudia Linders in a wide variety of projects including Dutch Resource, Hestia NSO and Huis te Wiel. With NEXT partner Marijn Schenk she developed Oostermeerweg, their private residence.  >>> Stedelijk Museum Ypenburg  >>> Dare to Unlabel

 


STUDIO SAMIRA BOON

STUDIO SAMIRA BOON is an Amsterdam and Tokyo-based product, textile, and interior design studio. For Drytech NEXT and Samira Boon combined their knowledge and ideas to create the Spacer Chair and the Woven Waffle Screen.

Wieden + Kennedy

Wieden+Kennedy is an independent, creatively led advertising agency that creates strong and provocative relationships between good companies and their consumers. NEXT created their new working environment at the Herengracht in 2007.

H+N+S

In 2002 NEXT contacted both Rob Nijsse and H+N+S Landscape Architects to form a team for the design of two bridges in Glanerbrug|NL. This team was successful. In 2007 the team of H+N+S and NEXT came together for a bridge and landscape design in Hellendoorn. Again with success.

ADP

ADP architectuur design en planning has earned its reputation on the strenght of a wide spectrum of commissions, spanning more than fifty years. While traditionally specialising in industrial construction and non-serial housing projects, its order portfolio today increasingly includes urban planning studies and interior design projects.

The executive board is formed by Mr Marc a Campo, Mr Wim Woensdregt and Mr Erik Wiersema. The architects share a preference for aesthetic modern architecture combined with a practical approach. A D P recently started an coorporation with Boerstra & Partners Architects and HM architects as new brandname HMADP.

Fonds BKVB

The Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture (known in the Netherlands as Fonds BKVB) is the national body responsible for making grants to individual visual artists, designers and architects. Its objective is to nurture excellence in visual arts, design and architecture in the Netherlands.The foundation contributed to NEXT with a variety of funds like the contribution to The Image of Metropolis, an incentive grant in 2000 and several project related funds.

Arup | Amsterdam

Arup is an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. Through their work, they make a positive difference in the world: 'We shape a better world'

Arup brings together broad-minded individuals from a wide range of disciplines and encourages them to look beyond the constraints of their own specialisms. Together with NEXT they work on several infrastructural projects in The Netherlands.
